One in five Dutch employees (19%) would prefer complete flexibility in their own working hours. The older the worker, the more flexibility is desired. As many as one in three people over 55 (31%), the desire to work at chosen times. Freelancing as a new trend is most popular among the millennial generation: 37% of young people aged 16 to 25 years is seriously considering to take this step. With employees from 25 to 34 years, this 36%. Find freelancing an attractive option more men than women (29% and 22%).
Yet going from a place of something being "attractive" to actually something real is challenging. If you're in the under 25 year category life is full of risk and adventure with time on your side. If however you're in your 30s and been use to the relative safety and comfort of full time employment, taking the leap toward being a freelancer can be an uneasy prospect. The more uneasy we feel the more we will experience resistance, and that's normal.
The aim of this meet-up is to have an interactive get together where we will look at what you can do to over come these. The is to go through some of your actual resisters (for those who wish to share) and see how you may over come these.
We look forward to seeing you again in 2018!
